Imagine options - damat - 01-27-2009

Hi all!

Is it possible to set option Fit bigger image to window size for all images in Quick View (ctrl+q)? It's really annoying to press toolbar button each time

RE: Imagine options - fenixproductions - 01-27-2009

Imagine plugin respects lister's settings so you should set it there:

1. fire up lister (Shift+F3)
2. Options -> Fit only bigger images to window

Since now it should also work with QuickView. There is no need to use Imagine's buttons for this purpose.

I've tried it, no result. This setting is lost on the next ctrl+Q press

Does it also happen with standard TC installation?
Do you have write permissions for wincmd.ini file?

You can also try to open wincmd.ini and write:
Code:
ShrinkBitmap=2
in [Lister] section.

adding string to the ini file helped... but for some reason this have broken Ultima Prime launcher. I'm frustrated a little bit since back up was on ftp, that's broken now.

Any way - will try to experiment further, thanks for the help!

Could you post the .ini that broke tc up.exe?
And write what problems did you have with it?

RE: Imagine options - damat - 01-28-2009

I have recovered it (ftp was not down)! Sorry, but bad file is erased... (2fast, 2furious=)

What was done to brake it:
- open wincmd.ini in Notepad++ 5.1.2
- added string ShrinkBitmap=2 to the [Lister] section
- restarted TC UP

What happened:
- TC UP menus are gone
- all FTP conenctions are lost
- interface is reverted to default in some areas: brackets on the folder, icons in menus. Hotkeys and directory list are working though
-f3/f4 are not working
- imagine works nice: pictures are fitting the screen

What is the treatment:
- just copied my backup ini file and restarted it
Done the same with Notepad, everything is ok.
Seems to be some troubles in saving ini files in Notepad++ OR troubles in my hands =)

Thanks for quick response!

Good that you found it. I guess that converting the file back would be easy. Could you try one thing for me? Try to open wincmd.ini with N++ and look into Format menu. What encoding is selected?

I tried to reproduce this problem and it's fine here unless I manually set N++ to use different encoding.
