Sorting directories problems - ewen212 - 06-20-2007 Hi, It seems like some threads in polish are about sorting problems, but it's complicated to understand. Why TCUP 2.5 (with TotalCmd 7.0 public beta3) and earlier versions sort folders and files by size , but TCUP 2.7 (w. TotalCmd 7.0 rel. cadid. 5) -only files in same view - "Contains Files (Backgr.)"? RE: Sorting directories problems - ULTIMA PRIME - 06-20-2007 Ctrl+F2 or Check icons on picture RE: Sorting directories problems - ewen212 - 06-27-2007 ULTIMA PRIME Wrote:Ctrl+F2----------- Ctrl F2 view full details for files, not for directories. But I mean the view "Contains Files (background)" - by Right Click on tabstop header "Name". In this view I can sort folders by any field except Size. This doesn't work only in TCUP 2.7. I checked it on TC UP 1.8, 2.3, 2.5 - I can sort folders by size w/o problems. RE: Sorting directories problems - [HUN]Peti - 06-28-2007 i've never checked it with older versions, but in 2.7 it isn't working... if no one can find a solution: 1. set columns to "Full" (with ctrl+f2) 2. select the directories you want to sort with space (and NOT with insert) 3. click on the Size column header i know what you think, this is slower, much slower ... yes, but currently i don't know about any faster way is it possible that the problem is in Total Commander (I mean TOTALCMD.EXE)? could you copy over the TOTALCMD.EXE of 2.5 to the directory of 2.7? (you can install more than one TC UP instances on the same pc) RE: Sorting directories problems - m^2 - 06-28-2007 [HUN Wrote:Peti]I'm 99% sure it's not totalcmd.exe, there was nothing changed with default behaviour. Sb. has to review config changes. UP, could you provide wincmd.inis from older versions? We could say the same about TC UP's wincmd.ini, the latest versions concentrated on adding programs and tools to the project. So if I had the files of those older versions I sure would try TOTALCMD.exe first and then the ini file. RE: Sorting directories problems - lestat44 - 08-04-2007 I think, I have the same problem. I have version 2.9 TC UP and I'm still waiting until TC UP will sort Directories also include size of directories again as it was in ealier versions. It's Count Size view. I have marked: Sorting directories -> Like files (also by time). But it still didn't sort by size. PS.sorry for my english RE: Sorting directories problems - TaiPan007 - 08-13-2007 Hi everybody, I have had the exact same problem. If you reset your configuration like this (TCUP 2.9): configuration | display | sorting directories | mark "like files (also by time)" then press "CTRL+F6" (sort by size) and "Shift+ALT+ENTER" (recalculate all dirs, may take time!) now all directories will be sorted by size...
