Do you mean their colours?
It's in configuration->Color. If changes made there doesn't take effect, you probably don't have write access to wincmd.ini. Try to change it (it's somewhere in properties of the file).

What message do you get when you try? Maybe it's a problem with your file system? You can try chkdisk.
