problem with unpacking rar file - Jh.soft.serv - 05-02-2008 There is the same problem in this 3.8 version like in version 2.8, if I remember well... I cannot unpacking any of rar files with tcup. Neither with putting the unrar.dll from winrar home page to /TC up/ directory. Can you help me? RE: problem with unpacking rar file - lokotus738 - 05-02-2008 I have investigate the problem and it occurs only with password protected files. rar and zip. Even the rar archive is created in TCUP and its password protected, TCUP can not decompress it again. But i think there was some way how to disable internal dll. http://tcup.pl/forum/showthread.php?tid=281 1. download unrar.dll from this site http://www.rarlab.com/rar_add.htm (3. file from above) 2. replace unrar.dll in the TCUP install directory RE: problem with unpacking rar file - xbrook - 05-07-2008 lokotus738 Wrote:I have investigate the problem and it occurs only with password protected files. rar and zip. Many times showed to me an error message : archieve file not found. Extractor didnt function correctly only when i am extracting anything from "my desktop" place After that i copy the rar file to another location (my document for example) and extraction is function. i dont understand to that RE: problem with unpacking rar file - m^2 - 05-07-2008 It is known limitation of Total Commander. That's because \\Desktop is not a folder. You don't have to copy the file, you can go to it's real location and work from there. It's almost always in c:\Documents and Settings\username\Desktop. And why sometimes are .rar files opened by TC and another time by Winrar ( i mean when i open the rar file, sometimes i can browse it via TC and another is opened external program - winrar ) and my second question is how is possible to change desktop location when i press on desktop icon in TC. I want to change from \\desktop\.*. to c:\\doc and set\my profile\desktop , but when i press the edit icon there is only "cm_OpenDesktop" and i cannot change the path thanx for reply RE: problem with unpacking rar file - Jh.soft.serv - 05-09-2008

That's probably exactly the same problem - from \\Desktop they are opened in your default packer (WinRar), from real folders - directly in TC. xbrook Wrote:and my second question is how is possible to change desktop location when i press on desktop icon in TC.
