Tool for force delete? - xbrook - 01-08-2009 I have question, if in TCUP is there integrated any tool for force delete, i mean, something like "file shredder" (secure delete, not possible to recover) RE: Tool for force delete? - csq - 01-09-2009 While using DarkCrypt plugin there is an option for force delete (see attached screenshot), so you can first crypt the file with force delete and then just delete *.xdc crypto container. I think this would be a sloution. Just imagine if someone extracted deleted *.xdc file - that is a big advantage because without password it is not possible to open the file. Another solution is to make defragmentation (there is a tool in TC UP) and then use Recuva tool (from TC UP) just to look whether it is possible to recover any files. RE: Tool for force delete? - fenixproductions - 01-09-2009 2xbrook You can also add one of these plugins: http://en.totalcmd.pl/download/wcx/oth/Wipe_File_Destroyer http://www.totalcmd.net/plugring/wipe_fs.html RE: Tool for force delete? - xbrook - 01-09-2009 Thanx guys for advice. RE: Tool for force delete? - xbrook - 01-11-2009 Most easiest way would be integrate force delete function with crypt to button "delete files" which is placed close to button "preview" in next version of TCUP hmm? RE: Tool for force delete? - m^2 - 01-11-2009 Note: Where did you hear the force delete term? Because what you mean is secure delete, force deletion applies to things undeletable normally. |
