Installer suggestions - robinsiebler - 01-15-2009 During the install, I opted not to install quite a few of the additional programs/plugins. However, when I launch TCUP, they are still listed in the menus Tools, Programs, and Plugins. It would be great if the installer changed the TCUP config files so that programs/plugins that aren't installed don't show up in the menu. I realize that this would entail a good amount of work, but it would also same the user (and especially an inexperienced user) an great deal of work... Also, for the programs I did opt to install I didn't want any desktop or quicklaunch shortcuts. However, since there was no global option, I had to select each and every program and change this. It would be nice if there was a global option.[/b] RE: Installer suggestions - ULTIMA PRIME - 01-15-2009 Which version of TC UP do you have installed? Everything you recommends is done for a long time, so the behaviour you've just described seems to be impossible to achieve now. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and the tools I didn't install didn't have listings in the menu. However, I still couldn't figure out how to get the right start menu items without doing it manually. I did notice 1 thing that isn't updated, but that is really minor - the programs toolbar still has icons for all of the tools, even the ones that weren't installed. RE: Installer suggestions - robinsiebler - 01-15-2009 AIMP Tools are listed under Tools even though I didn't install them.
