launch NOTEPAD with current folder PATH - scud - 03-01-2009 Is it possible to add some shortcut (especially Notepad) on toolbar with knowledge about current folder (to looks like I launched Notepad from that folder)? Let me explain detailed what I mean. For example I browse some folder "D:\This\Is\My\Path\Folder" and after that I click on Notepad icon from TCUP toolbar, Notepad is opened and I write some text and wish to save that text file in folder where I am currently. When I chose save command from Notepad I wish Notepad to know I am in "D:\This\Is\My\Path\Folder" path and all I need is just to write file name without browsing that folder. How to do that in TCUP? Suggestions?

I know for that F7 (New Folder or File) command but, on that way I need to chose on that dialog txt file and after that press OK. After few clicks I get opened Notepad, but I wish just one click on toolbar with Notepad icon to automatically open Notepad in current path. Is it possible to do? Is it possible to configure that New Folder to open Notepad automatically for me after just one click on toolbar (without dialog for choosing New Folder/File)? RE: launch NOTEPAD with current folder PATH - fenixproductions - 03-02-2009 2scud I don't know about standard notepad but for n++: 1. add its exe to button bar as new button, 2. clear completely "Start path" field, 3. OK and you're done! Remember: wanted application must support such "feature". Some software ignore starting path and always gets you to "My Documents" if loaded without file. Personally I recommend you to use Shift+F4 feature. RE: launch NOTEPAD with current folder PATH - scud - 03-02-2009 (03-02-2009, 03:13 AM)fenixproductions Wrote: 2scudI mostly use Notepad++. Much more then other editors, so thank you for answer. I didn't know about Shift+F4 Never used it... I will try to do as you sad...
