Lister plugins ext's in a "Portable environment"
#1
Hi all,

First of all I want to tank you "TCUP" team for your great work. (I'm a big fan of TCUP since I sarted using it about 2 years ago).

I don't remember if in older versions I used to use that much "Lister" plugins, but on late releases I have noticed some filetypes are messed up, or at least for a "Portable" TCUP installation to an USB HDD.

What I mean is for example if you want to see a .xls file (Ctrl + Q), by default the "IEView" plugin tries to "download" the file in question (ActiveX -> MsWord), but when I take a look at wincmd.ini the XLS extension should be managed by the xBaseView.

What I have seen so far is that "IEView" and "xBaseView" perhaps are great plugins for those using a normal windows installation with MsOffice also installed, but for me it doesn't fit because:
1)Almost everywhere I go with my portable environment (80GB USB HDD) MsOffice is not present because it has being replaced by OpenOffice.
2)No one usually has installed any database driver on their systems.

I bypased this inconvenience by installing the "Excellence" plugin for XLS files (wich indeed manage XLS files without needing any other program or library), put this plugin in place of "IEView" and this one moved to the las place on le plugins list.

By the way I have changed the included Putty with a "portable" one that saves its configuration to a .putty folder, also WinVNC (Better usability) is in place of TighVNC.

I would like to know how do you fine tune TCUP for "portable" use, and if there are any other plugins that could replace the ones that need an external library/driver/program.
