TC UP 3.0 very unstable on WinXP x64
#1
Hi,
TC UP 3.0 is very unstable on WinXP x64 (blocks all the time), while version 2.9 is very stable on the same OS. I don't know what the problem is, but it stops responding in simple operations (copy, move, ...)

Strange issue it is because both TC UP versions contain TC 7.01.
Just few shots from my side:
1. remove background plugins handling:
- open wincmd.ini from TC UP installation folder
- find this section and delete:
Code:
[BackgroundPlugins]
TitleBar=%commander_path%\PLUGINS\wbx\TitleBar\TitleBar.wbx
2. re-check your antivirus settings (make it not checking TC UP path)
3. disable target path free space checking:
- open wincmd.ini
- find (or create if doesn't exist) under [Configuration] sections this line:
Code:
SizeCheck=0

It is not needed. Background plugins are there only for test purposes and aren't loaded unless you use wbx.exe to start TC.

Quick reply Smile
Somehow I've been thinking that TC UP uses wbx.exe during start-up.

It is planned for a future release. As soon as I fix several bugs...

Thanks a lot for fast reply.
I'll try that when I get home where I use WinXP x64 Pro, and give you a report.

I applied both:

[BackgroundPlugins]
TitleBar=%commander_path%\PLUGINS\wbx\TitleBar\TitleBar.wbx

[Configuration]
SizeCheck=0

Well I don't know about you guys, but I think it was SizeCheck, because the wbx interface is not working yet, maybe in 3.2, or later.Wink
