The display problem is not really a bug but more an
implementation feature. To provide fast redraws in Artweaver I've
implemented a fast but not high quality scale function. Especially
images with thin lines show this behavior. Other images are displayed
right.

A solution could be to implement smooth scaling (I think this is what
XNView does). The most big disadvantage of smoothing is speed. For a
image viewer this is maybe OK but for a painting application this is
very bad. I need very fast re-drawings to avoid brush delays.
