Over write TC?
#7
Help could be nice solution but I think that except You noone will use it.

Being honest: how many people do you know who read help files?
Total Commander has F1 functionality for almost every part of it and there are still many questions asked about basics which can be found there. It doesn't matter is it TC UP forum or TC official one, average users don't like to read at all. It is sad somehow.

Take a look on my answers here (or official board). The most of them comes from reading help or readme files, some from looking on google.com and only the few from own testings.

If you'd like to know more just read instructions in plugins / apps folders and keep in mind that TC help exists.

At the end, the steps for helping in this thread:
- I've installed TC many times in seperate dirs in the past,
- I know that F3 or F4 loads OpenFileTC tool, so I've searched for its location and took a look into files there,
- from TC Help I know about wincmd.ini structure and purpose, colouring,
- knowing proper parameter in wincmd.ini or just by loking at TC UP folders I've found DLL fies with icons which are used,
- from knowledge about Windows I know how double-click works.

That's all. A little bit of searching.

I really recommend you to be researcher.
