I should mention that "X" should be valid number (I hope you assumed that by yourself).
Plugins should be loaded when they are needed and closed with TC. You might use thumbnail view or lister previously and that is why WLX files are in use.

Adding "X_detect" should force TC to use PDFfilter for PDF files only.
I don't really know WHY Ultima add this plug. It should work with some files only if there are some converters in Windows available (all configured and described in listfilter.ini) but there are none added by TC UP.

I am happy you figured solution out but, as I wrote in one of the previous posts, we don't really have good opportunity to investigate this more.
