The KMPlayer chooses proper audio settings according to film's properties. It should not work in mono all the time.
We've decided to start The KMPlayer in fullscreen because it is meant for viewing films and not staring at them
Seriously: for quick view on them lister is better choice.
And after all you can switch to normal view just by double click.
