I propose that, The KMPlayer will be ours new player in TCUP

This player contains all buildin codec (without QT & Real) to play everything.

Well, it seems KMPlayer is good enough, best software around, so it probably will be in TC UP soon, but I doubt it will contain codecs, 40MB+ is too much, I think... So you'll have to install codecs yourselves.

17.3 MB when upxed (it's all gpl-lgpl, so we can do it). Removal of skins would be further size reduction. Or at least recompression (they happen to be just renamed .zip files).
I can also recommend VLC (16.1 MB with 41 languages and some skins) and normal MPlayer (it's hard to beat it's size..3.4 MB+GUI. And it contains codecs).

ADDED:
KMPLayer w/out "Extender" and skins takes 13.8 MB
Drawback: it's not portable (mplayer is and VLC can be).

ADDED: It also can be portable, in options, there is setting for keeping configuration in an .ini file instead of in registry.
