some bugReports/featureRequests

damat Wrote:got it... but I'm curious: if you need to run this plugin, then you have ppc and activeSync (99,99%) =)

to be serious: is it possible to add some warning/error message when you run plug without installed activeSync OR add some checking while installing the plugin through installer interface?

TC UP contains only these elements which work without need for additional components and libraries. Only VirtualDub is an exception and requires some codecs to be installed.

damat Wrote:two more things:

1. bugReport TCUP 3.9 Installer crashed when it was lanched from 3.8. Launch from Explorer worked fine.

We need more information from you in order to fix it.

Can you reproduce it?
Can you post a screenshot of the message Windows gives?
When does it happen? Just after it's launch? On one of the pages?
Which version of Windows do you use?

and here are another couple of questions:

1. what is the algorithm of setting up languages for the applications? I have choosen english in the very begining of installation but some programs (KMPlayer, WinContig, WinMerge) are in Russian. Installer is taken from russian version of the page, but does this really matter?

2. when I press f3 button on *.log, *.ini and even *.txt, I got list of applications to open file with. It's really strange that Notepad++ is not in the list, though f4 leads to opening file in it.

now some hotkey ideas:

1. hotkey Shift+Ctrl+с to copy full file path makes my work very fast - opening files in other applications takes minimal time. I don't know standart way to do it, so have done my own hotkey.

2. Also I use left arrow to go to the parent folder, this way I'm hell fast with browsing. Probably, you'll find it useful.

3. alt+1, alt+2, alt+3 for Brief, Full and Thumbnail view is also very simple way to do usual things faster.

4. I can't find the way to set alt+` as a hotkey for placing cursor to command line. It's not possible, right?

Question: AIMP in TCUP 3.9 hides completely after minimize. How to recover back small window with playback controls on the top of the others?

Ctrl+S for "cm_SrcCustomViewMenu" is easier for me.
Sometimes I need to use Ctrl+D (directory hotlist) just before Ctrl+S. Only one finger move for that.

"cm_FocusCmdLine" should work (not tested).

BTW I've been trying to convince Ultima to give some predefined shortcuts set for some time. I think that he will do it in the future (if doesn't forgetWink).

Just RMB on AIMP's tray icon and uncheck "Hide TrayControl".

In the most of cases installer copies proper INI files (with valid entries for language) into applications folders. The only exception from this rule are programs which detect Windows language (i.e. The KMPlayer) or keep their settings in Registry (i.e. FileAlyzer, WinMerge). In that case we do nothing. Software will be started with default localisation settings and user has to choose language by his own (if such one exists).

The reason for this behaviour is that you have direct assignment for opening TXT files in Notepad++ under F4 key. By default: F3 gives the user choice where TXT file has to be opened. If you want to see Notepad++ displayed in this window select it via "Another application" and make this handling default (see attachment).

I will consider it.
