TC UP New...
#11
I found it!
And yes, I fixed it. Big Grin
Cause: the program tried to read the first character of a string variable which was 0 characters long, so empty, this always causes Access Violation errors, but the situation you've found is almost impossible: you had no extensions (the error occured when the program tried to save the extensions to the ini file).
I could never have done it without this ini file... Thanx again for the bug report.

Attention all users!!!
If you find a bug then send your TCUPNew.ini file with your report!

Yes, I made some changes.

First: I wanted to make a Dir, The TCUPNew remembered an older created Dir name and wanted to use that name. I didn't like this.
I writed for example "abc" in TCUPNew, there were an older dir beginig with "a"
and the "bc" Dir was made. (I didn't listen to the text in the textbox.)
So I modified the settings.
And it disturbed me, that sometimes TCUPNew wanted to create a file instead of a dir. (I didn't listen to the text in the textbox.)
I use F7 to create a Dir, and SHIFT+F4 to create a file.

And it's your choice, you sure don't have to use it...
this "bc" creation was a really annoying thing in 1.0 and 1.1... but no more.
This is fixed as well in 1.2,
Even if you don't like... hate Big Grin TC UP New, I suggest you check it after you downloaded and installed TC UP 2.8 (with TC UP New 1.2)!

TC UP New saves the last mode you used: if you created a file, it will be the default next time.
Big Grin I didn't help you yet! Big Grin

Hi there,

first of all thanks for this great plugin. But I've got a little problem on my system. I have a laptop with an additional monitor plugged in with "extended windows desktop"-mode.
When I'm pressing F7 to call up the "New Folder Ext." the input form is centered of the whole desktop. Which means that the one half is on the laptop-monitor and the other half on the external monitor. And that is annying!

Maybe you can help me.

yes, it is fixed, someone else has reported this bug before...
from TC UP 2.8 (so TC UP New 1.2) the program is set to be on the center of the Screen and not on the center of the Desktop (so this bug was my mistake, I never developed for PCs with 2 displays before)
and: I think all users will be happy with 1.2's new function, now it can detect where the main window of TC UP is, so the window of TC UP New is set to the position of the original TC 'New directory' window (at least it looks like, the position is not exactly the same, because this has a different window size...)

but if you have any other problem with it, just post a reply here.

Hi!

TC UP New doesn't work in FTP. I disabled it now. I don't know if this is a known issue. Are you working on it? Sok sikert!

Ádám.
