  totalcmd.exe
Posted by: Luk_Ass - 02-05-2012, 03:25 PM - Forum: Problems / Problemy - Replies (4)

Hello. I accidently removed totalcmd.exe. Could someone upload this original file? Because I don't really feel like reinstralling it due to 1 file. Thank you in advance.

Question God, Windows Explorer fails
Posted by: HackerTradition - 01-24-2012, 08:58 AM - Forum: Problems / Problemy - No Replies

Several days ago, I wanted to replace Windows Explorer with TC UP, so I followed the instructions in the following thread (it's long, don't bother to read it)
http://ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=8821

I pasted the following code into NotePad, save it, then changed the extension to .reg, and ran it using Registry Editor.

REGEDIT4

(code ends)
After I did this, when I double click a folder:
1. It won't open in Total Commander;
2. error pops up (see pic below)

However, I can right-click a folder and click "open in new window" - it will open successfully.

This has made me a little crazy... Can you tell me how I can restore my previous Registry settings, so that when I double-click a folder it will open up in Windows Explorer?
Any suggestions will help! Thanks a lot^^

Brick Help!: Problem when trying to replace Windows Explorer
Posted by: HackerTradition - 01-19-2012, 11:12 AM - Forum: Problems / Problemy - Replies (1)

I'm using TC UP 5.6 on Windows 7, and I want that when I double click a folder, it opens in TC rather than Windows Explorer.
So I clicked Appearance > Replace Windows Explorer > On, then popped up a message box saying "file not found".

see: http://www.flickr.com/photos/74626162@N0...hotostream
and

I have read the help documentation and googled but didn't manage to find an answer~~ Any idea? Thanks a lot!

Backup and restore .ini setting files when reinstalling TC UP
Posted by: Asmodean - 01-18-2012, 12:55 AM - Forum: Questions / Pytania - Replies (3)

Hi everyone. First of all, really great work with TC UP Smile Thanks for the time spent and all the hard work you guys did for the community.

I was wondering if there is an easy way to save all your .ini files when you reinstall/update TC UP, so you don't have to do that manually for each of the tools you use (aimp, kmplayer, xnview etc)?

It would be great if there was option to export all .ini files to a external folder, and then import them later when you reinstall your TC UP, reinstall windows or install fresh copy of TC UP on another pc. Maybe someone already figured out a way to do something like that?

  FTP SSL\TSL support
Posted by: csq - 12-25-2011, 05:14 PM - Forum: Programs / Programy - Replies (2)

Dear All

I would like to remind you that FTP with SSl\TSL does not work "out of the box". As you know, you have to add two DLL files from openSSL package to enable SSl\TSL support:

  • libeay32.dll
  • libssl32.dll
Therefore, I propose to add the abovementioned files in next TCUP release.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

TCUP 5.6 taking 50% of CPU
Posted by: JurekSz - 12-22-2011, 02:45 PM - Forum: Problems / Problemy - Replies (2)

Hi,
I have recently noticed that when I start TCUP 5.6 it takes more than 50% of my CPU time.. I am running win7 pro 64bit. Is there anything I can try to investigate to verify what is causing this?? I am 100% sure this has not been like this always...

Cheers,
Jurek

  windows size after new start
Posted by: ni_hao - 12-12-2011, 08:10 PM - Forum: Problems / Problemy - Replies (2)

I do not use full screen mode, so I have TCUP in a window running (OS: windows 7).
Every time I start TCUP it seems it has a default window size and thus every time I have to adjust the window size to my favourite size.

Is it possible that TCUP recognizes (store) the window size before TCUP was closed. So at next start TCUP will run in the same sized window as it was running the last time.

I exit TCUP by clicking at the white on red X at the right upper side but also by the Menu (File-Exit; ALT+F4).

  Minimize TCUP ->Taskbar
Posted by: ni_hao - 12-12-2011, 10:29 AM - Forum: Problems / Problemy - Replies (1)

When I minimize TCUP I want to see it in the Taskbar. So that I can put it back on my screen with one mouse click. How to do that?
