It's impossible to do well. If you use 2 different programs that hack system this way at the same time, no implementation can warrant recoverability.

It does require right to write in the registry. Regular user accounts have it, but some companies or institutions might prohibit it for security reasons.

No one feels offended IMHO.

My biggest concern lies in this "association system".

I know that each software/hardware failure might bring data loss but in the case of LK you can end up not only with that but with complete system mess too. I am even afraid to check and try and plug off my pendrive running LK without dismounting first. It might break my system but I cannot confirm that because I am chicken Wink.

I thought they are handling system messages (i.e. like C.A.F.E. application) to achieve their goal but I was wrong. Catching ShellExecute would be safe, their way - definitely not.
