I am not sure I understand how to properly update. I have TCUP 9.1, and am trying to update it to 9.2. Installation mode recognizes that I have version 9.1 and suggests "Uninstallation" (which I probably do not want, since I want to update), "Installation Repair" which does not seem to be updating, although does not show a "success" screen and seems to just "end" after selecting options, and "New installation", which seems to suggest, that a new installation will be done, potentially with loss of current settings, which I do not want, because I have quite a few customizations done in current build. I was not able to find any info on how exactly I am supposed to update the TCUP version in a way, that will save all current settings, but update TCUP's tools and respective 3rd aprty apps/tools/plugins (if they were update), so can someone advise on this?

Helo,
I would like to update from 9.2 to 9.3. What is the proper way to restore, could you specify? Whatever restore method I choose all my settings are gone.

During uninstallation, a backup of most TC UP project settings is ALWAYS created.
This backup is saved in the following directory: !Files\Backup\TC UP
You can access this directory via:
Directory hotlist (Ctrl+D) > Files > Backup \ TC UP
Note!
If the user has made changes that are not saved in the standard TC UP project configuration files, these changes WILL NOT BE restored after reinstallation.
We are unable to predict the endless possibilities of different configurations that the user can implement.
Correct update procedure (e.g. TC UP 9.3 > TC UP 9.4):
01. Run the installer: tcup94.exe
02. Select language
03. Page > Welcome to the Total Commander Ultima Prime 9.4 setup wizard
04. Next
05. Page > License Agreement
06. I Agree
07. Page > Programs to close
08. Next
09. Page > Installation mode
10. Select Uninstallation
11. Next
12. After uninstallation, the Installer window will reappear.
13. Go to the Backup page
14. Select the type of "Backup Schema:" (determines which settings should be restored from the previous version) and the "Backup File Directory:" (the highest on the list is the last backup made during uninstallation)
15. Next
16. Customize the project on the following pages, or select one of the automatic installation schemes.
17. Install the project
After this procedure, all STANDARD project settings (program settings, passwords, key, menu, colors, etc.) will be restored from the previous version.
So, in one sentence:
Before installing the new version, uninstall the old one (using the new version installer for this purpose)
Don't be afraid - the settings will not be lost when uninstalling the old version, they will be restored when installing the new version.
