How can i backup my profile ?
Every time i upgrade TC UP i have to re-edit ini files or overwrite them to keep my old UP preferences.

Just copy this files:
From TC UP directory: wincmd.ini, DEFAULT.bar, color.ini
and if you use programs from TC UP:
From PLUGINS directory:
%COMMANDER_PATH%\PLUGINS\Media\MirandaIM\Profiles\ultima.dat (or if you have - your own profile)
%COMMANDER_PATH%\PLUGINS\Media\OperaUSB\profile
In all new version TC UP i change wincmd.ini - so if you backup your file - propably you dont have new function

I don't even mind application profiles but the main profile (the ini files) TC UP has...
Usually i overwrite the %COMMANDER_PATH%\Config and %COMMANDER_PATH%\wincmd.ini.
Once I tried to keep my configuration from older version to latest by retyping some values, and i saw that the configuration files are completely different - sections are in different lines. This takes a lot of time.
I know that overwriting all *.ini files is not the best idea (some features might be missing ?) but at least for now it works for me,
I need only basic configuration to be preserved - everything that is in configuration menu: tabs, colours, last location, icons!(those original are too plain for me)
Sorry for grammar and spelling, sometimes I don't even check what i wrote and i have to edit posts few times.

I have a suggestion,
I don't know much about scripting but You could make a script that compares ini files from older version to newer and adds only new lines/features... for example it will add only new plugins or will replace old one with new to older ini file.
